Katie
Katie first started practicing yoga in 2002 at the YMCA in West Bend. She enjoyed and practiced regularly. She was asked by the instructor if she would be interested in teaching.
She was certified in basic yoga and started teaching yoga on the side in 2004. Five years later after taking her first Bikram yoga class she was hooked. She quickly felt benefits of the practice in reducing the stress and strain brought on by years of practicing and teaching dental hygiene.
In February 2016, Katie received her 200 hour certification from Yandara Yoga Institute in Baja Mexico. She has also taken 300 hours of advanced training in Yin, Bhakti, Yoga Nidra and meditation. She believes strongly in the healing practices of yoga and enjoys sharing this passion with students.
When Yoga Heights opened, Katie immediately began practicing here.
“It was the only place offering the original dialogue and an array of 90 minute classes. The studio has meant so much to me because of the warm accepting environment. I was invited to teach here and have been tutored in the original dialogue. My practice continues to grow and I am committed to helping Yoga Heights thrive.”
